Memorandum of Understanding Development of an interactive

Advance Passenger Information System between

the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and

Somapa Information Technology Pte. Ltd. (Singapore)
 

On Monday, December 12, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at State Room 3, the Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, a cooperation agreement (MOU) was signed between the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, and Somapa Information Technology Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). The event was honored by Mr. John Rosso MP, Deputy Prime Minister. and Minister of Labor and Immigration is a representative of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and Dr. Namchoke Somapa, Chief Executive Officer, a representative of Somapa Information Technology Pte. Ltd. (Singapore).

The objective of the signing of this cooperation agreement is to develop and promote a common understanding of the development of an interactive Advance Passenger Information System (iAPIS) for the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and to monitor its progress.

The interactive Advance Passenger Information System (iAPIS) is an advance passenger screening and screening system for arriving in departing out passengers via international airlines and domestic airlines to the immigration office and other related agencies for air, land and sea border crossings.

In 2017, the solution system was implemented in a foreign country. A contract was signed for implementing an Advance Passenger Processing System (APPS) in the Lao People's Democratic Republic and has been in service until now.
